Attack of the Bikini ZOMBIE Girls (Groove Mix)

Spoken introduction

In the year 2515 there was a problem
there was an attack of bikini zombie girls
the only way to stop em was to make em DANCE!

verse 1 12-bars

I know a Girl at the Beach one day,
Her Name was Betty Boop for her very last day,
I saw that girl a playing on her pocket phone,
Her brain burned out and broke her heart
So Boogie boogie woogie do the zombie boogie woogie.

verse 2 12-bars

played it loud and fast At the beach that day,
I fear for my life so I play all day,
Playing my guitar with a grove that was smooth,
They wiggle there hips and they dance all day
So Boogie boogie woogie do the zombie boogie woogie.

Interlude 12-Bars

verse 3 12-Bars

I made her dance and her sisters too,
She wore a bikini and spike heal shoes,
Busting out her moves dancing all the time,
Flesh Rotting off and she don't care
So Boogie boogie woogie do the zombie boogie woogie.

verse 4 > rep of verse 2 12-bars

played it loud and fast At the beach that day,
I fear for my life so I play all day,
Playing my guitar with a grove that was smooth,
They wiggle there hips and they dance all day
So Boogie boogie woogie do the zombie boogie woogie.

Ending 12-Bars

When I started recording the song, those who use Linux will know this. I was having issues with the sound card and the kernel keeping up (latency issues), So I recorded the song (guitar parts) in one 8+ min take to a metronome. I then cut the recording in two and then time aliened the two tracks so they would be in synch. The drum sequence (sorry Glen) was then added in as seperate tracks. Later I changed the sequence as I wanted something different. About this stage the latency issues where solved so I started tracking the main vocal each in one take, I was also adding in small sound bites and mixing in other ideas that I had been working on. at this stage the song was rough and missing a lot some of the bits that where mixed in where rerecorded for the song and then the "So Boogie boogie woogie do the zombie boogie woogie" came up in a alternate vocal take I took it and ran with it so I recorded the backing next! After a mix the song was set! All in all according to my time stamps on the files it took about 2 months in 1/2 hour sessions every other week.

As for the video. That is another story. It started with the test clip Click here to view. And then a long wait. Mostly this was to other commitments and other projects that had priority. When there was more time a story board was created, then cut up in to the little frames. These where put in to a rough cut template of the video just to see what was needed or missing. A list of shots was planed, taken as well as a few impromptu. Some where scraped and others where used in ways I was not planing then a pick up shot as a replacement for an idea that did not work. By this stage I was missing the animation of Betty. 16 stills where made of Betty and that was all that was needed to push it to the end.
